What is Radio-Active
Learning?
Radio-Active learning is the live transmission and
recording of pupil broadcasts across an internal school speaker network to
classrooms, corridors and playgrounds. The solution encompasses recording studio
equipment, audio distribution hardware, speakers and full system training. The
system uniquely utilises existing network cabling to transmit digital audio to
keypad-controlled speaker sets throughout a school.
Pupil broadcasts are commonly aired before school, at lunch-times, within
after-school clubs or during the day in the form of listen-in learning
exercises. Broadcasts may incorporate school news, stories, radio dramas
or interviews, and could even include full-school learning activities such as
votes and competitions.
The system is high-quality, easily
expandable, affordable, easy to use, utilises free software and
involves hands-on studio equipment (i.e. non software-based). Audio
distribution utilises existing network cabling so there is no requirement for
speaker cabling.
